Santa had to come a bit early to our house so we could make our very early flight to Ohio!
We assured Josie that Santa would make a stop in Columbus too.
I think Papa enjoyed Josie's mega blocks just as much as she did!
She didn't let go of that toothbrush the whole time! I think it was her favorite gift of all. Hmmm.

Josie loved meeting the Ansel family. We miss you all!
She made a new friend, Peyton. He was very protective of her!
We made another friend at the airport on the way back to NC-a very nice soldier on his way home from Iraq for a short visit with his own little girls. He gave Josie his offical hat! It made Mommy and Papa weep with pride. A perfect ending to a very sweet First Christmas!!!

You are one well-loved little girl!! It was so great to see you for your first birthday. Your mommy and daddy did such a wonderful job of planning a fabulous first birthday party for you with lots of friends and toys! I still can't believe how much you like cupcakes. We love you very much and can't wait to see you again - and next time you'll be walking all by yourself!
